A Trip To China: Part 3

So, it’s 1.45am and I’m typing this up from a Novotel in Hong Kong.  I couldn’t post yesterday because we had a full-on day of working with our groups, followed by a meal out somewhere deep in the heart if  Shenzhen and we didn’t get back until past midnight…

All I can usefully say right now is that Hong Kong is awesome.  We took a taxi up to the area known as ‘The Peak’, which is basically a small mountain that overlooks  the city.  The views from there, even at night, are stunning.  We were treated to a lovely meal, including cocktails and wine, by Dame Wendy Hall at a very swish restaurant, followed by a trip down the mountain in the tram.  The views up the mountain in the taxi, at the top, and down in the tram at the end of  the evening, were stunning.  I confess to having a bit of a cry over the beauty of it all, following as it has one of the most incredible weeks of my life.

It’s been an amazing experience, and I’ll post more about it on Monday.  In the meantime, there’s this…
